Radial movement of the pump drive shaft can allow the shaft to contact the ceramic seals in the water pump. This action can damage the ceramic seals. Damage to the seals will cause leaks and failure of the pump. Do not cause radial movement of the pump drive shaft. |
- Section view of the water pump: ceramic seals (9), pump drive shaft (10).
- Use the following guidelines for handling the water pump:
- Do not cause radial movement of the pump drive shaft. Never use any Tooling that will cause radial movement of the shaft.
- Never place the water pump on a surface so the shaft rests on the surface.
- Never handle the water pump by the shaft.

38 kg (85lb) .Position water pump (8) and install bolts (6) and bolts (7).Show/hide table

- Install the bolts and retainer (2) on elbow (1).
- Install bolts (4) and the retainer on the water pump.
- Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Refer to theOperation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
