Understanding Programmable Engine RPM Limits
There are three programmable engine rpm limits that are available.
Top Engine Limit (TEL) - The TEL is used while the vehicle is being driven on the road. The TEL determines the maximum rpm when the PTO On/Off Switch is in the OFF position.
Idle RPM Limit - The Idle RPM Limit is the maximum of the engine rpm limit if the engine rpm is established by using the Cruise Control On/Off Switch and the Cruise Control Set/Resume Switch. The programmable range of the Idle RPM Limit is from 700 rpm to the TEL in one rpm increments. The minimum programmable Idle RPM Limit is determined by the programmed Low Idle Engine RPM. The maximum programmable Idle RPM Limit is limited by the TEL.
PTO TEL - The PTO TEL is the maximum engine rpm limit when the PTO On/Off switch is ON. The PTO TEL has a programmable range from 700 rpm to the TEL in one rpm increments. The minimum programmable PTO TEL is actually determined by the programmed Low Idle Engine RPM. The maximum programmable PTO TEL is the TEL.
