Reconnecting The 166-0294 Harness To The Diverter Valve For The BA18 Angle Broom Caterpillar

Reconnecting The 166-0294 Harness To The Diverter Valve For The BA18 Angle Broom

Usage:

ANGLE BROOM

SKIDDERS

BA 18 (ACE) ANGLE BROOM;
216 (4NZ1-Up),
226 (5FZ1-Up),
228 (6BZ1-Up),
236 (4YZ1-Up),
246 (5SZ1-Up),
248 (6LZ1-Up) SKID STEER LOADERS

Problem:

Difficulties are being reported for reconnecting the 166-0294 Harness to the diverter valve on the BA18 Angle Broom. Once the wiring harness connector plugs are disconnected from the solenoid valve connector plugs, there is no identification on the solenoid valves to match them to the connector plugs on the wiring harness.

Solution:

Engineering is working with suppliers to add color-coded tags to the wires for the connector plugs for the solenoid valves and for the wiring harness. In the meantime, a diagram of the physical solenoid valve arrangement is provided and the color coding of the wired harness connector plugs is identified. See Illustration 1.

(A) Attach the Blue/Black Wired Connectors from the Wiring Harness (Angle Right)
(B) Attach the White/Black Wired Connector from the Wiring Harness (Angle Left)

NOTE: The 166-0294 Harness has 5 connector plugs. Three of the connector plugs are not used with the BA18 Angle Broom.
