The Circuit Breaker For The Heating And Air Conditioning Fan Caterpillar

The Circuit Breaker For The Heating And Air Conditioning Fan

Usage:

BCKHOE LOADERS416D (BFP,BGJ),
420D (FDP,BLN,BKC,BMC,BLA,BGD,) 424D (BGP,BKR,) 428D (BLL,BMT,BNB,BNS),
430D (BNK,BML,BKW,BNJ,BLX,BGY),
432D (BLD),
438D (BPE,BPN),
442D (BRY,BRG) BACKHOE LOADERS

Problem:

The blower fan for the heating and air conditioning system in some D Series backhoe loaders may experience problems. The fan may not operate or may operate intermittently due to an incorrect or loose circuit breaker.

Solution:

Check the circuit breaker. Some machines were installed with a 15 amp circuit breaker. The 180-0613 Breaker (30 AMP) should be firmly seated. See Illustration 1 for the difference between the 15 amp and 30 amp breakers. This circuit breaker is located behind the side instrument panel. See Illustration 2.

Secure the 30 amp Breaker with tie straps. Some machines may have additional breakers on the electrical block. Ensure all breakers on the block are secured with tie straps. See Illustration 3 for strapping method.
