Fuel Injection Timing - Check
Perform this maintenance when the valve lash is checked and adjusted. Check the fuel timing. If necessary, adjust the fuel timing according to the instructions that are specified in the service manual.

Ensure that the engine cannot be started while this maintenance is being performed. To help prevent possible injury, do not use the starting motor to turn the flywheel. Hot engine components can cause burns. Allow additional time for the engine to cool before measuring/adjusting valve lash clearance. |

Perform the maintenance procedures for the unit injectors according to the information in the Service Manual. |
