When reporting the repair, use "PS52617" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing alternator can be undercharged on certain 308E and 308E 2 Mini Hydraulic Excavators. This issue is caused by the alternator harness being improperly connected. |

NOTE: This Rework Procedure requires the use of a harness tool in order to remove the harness from the connector. Refer to Image1.1.1 and 1.1.2 for a harness tool. |

1. Open the engine enclosure to access the alternator. Refer to Image1.2.1. |

2. Remove the connector from the alternator with pushing a notch. Refer to Image1.3.1. |

3. Remove the harness from the POS2 of the connector. To remove the harness from the connector, a harness tool may be required. Push the notch of the terminal using the harness tool when removing the harness from the connector. Refer Image1.4.2. |

4. Install the removed harness from POS2 to POS1 of the connector. Refer to Image1.5.1. |

5. Install the reworked harness to the alternator. |
