Rotary Manifold - Install
Installation Procedure
- Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
- Lubricate O-ring seals with clean hydraulic fluid.
- Ensure that the upper housing is in a horizontal position. Install a lifting eye into the top of the rotary manifold (4). Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a hoist to the lifting eye. Place a block inside the upper housing. Lift the rotary manifold into position in the work tool onto the block. The weight of the rotary manifold is 35 kg (77 lb). Use the hoist and the block to position the manifold in the housing.
