(1) Speed timing sensor control group. Lubricate the threads with engine oil prior to installation. Tighten the bolts to the following torque. ... 25 ± 5 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)

(2) Tighten the studs to the following torque. ... 65 ± 10 N·m (50 ± 7 lb ft)

For the installation of the timing sensor, use the following procedure:

1. Pull out the sliphead on the timing sensor.

2. Install the timing sensor into the front timing gear housing.

3. Remove the timing sensor.

4. Add the washer to the timing sensor.

5. Reinstall the timing sensor. Tighten the timing sensor to the torque listed above.

(3) Apply Loctite 271 to all stud serrations prior to installation.
