Component Code: 7631

SUBJECT: Some configuration settings in the Machine Security System (MSS) may change when MSS software release 207-6258 is upgraded to MSS software release 220-6355.

PROBLEM:

When MSS software release 207-6258 is upgraded to MSS software release 220-6355, the following configuration items will be changed.

  • Product ID will be corrupted
  • All bypass times will be moved back two days. For example, if the original configuration had a Monday through Friday bypass schedule to disarm at 6AM and re-arm at 3PM, after flashing in the new software, Monday?s schedule will become Saturday?s, Tuesday?s will become Sunday?s and so on.

Note: This only happens when UPGRADING from 207-6258 to 220-6355.

SOLUTION:

Prior to flashing the MSS ECM with 220-6355, record the Bypass Schedule.

After successfully flashing software release 220-6355, the service technician should re-enter the Product ID and adjust the bypass schedule to the original configuration.
