The 0R5207 Remanufactured Starter is listed as the service replacement starter for a number of Caterpillar supplied Delco, Bosch and Nippondenso starters. The 0R5207 Remanufactured Starter is a 40MT frame size Delco starter that may have interference problems on machines if used to replaces a Delco 42MT, Bosch or Nippondenso starter.
When replacing a Bosch or Nippondenso starter that cross references to the 0R5207 Remanufactured Starter, Caterpillar recommends that you use the 0R2186 Remanufactured Starter instead of the 0R5207 Remanufactured Starter. The 0R2186 Remanufactured Starter is a 42MT frame size Delco that is physically smaller than the 0R5207 Remanufactured Starter.
