The 6L7896 Starting Motor has been changed from status CRB (canceled replaced by) 4N3181 Motor group to CAN (canceled). The 4N3181 is not a replacement for 6L7896. Due to the low service requirements for 6L7896, Caterpillar will not release a service replacement motor. However, there is a source where the customer can obtain the 6L7896 Starting Motor. The motor can be ordered under its obsolete Delco Remy part number 1113946 from:
