Usage:
3508 ( 2JF ),
3512 ( 4KC ),
3516 ( 3RC ) Spark-Ignited Engines Equipped With EG3P Actuators
Description of Change: A new carburetor control linkage is used in the carburetor control groups. The new linkage is designed to improve linkage alignment at the actuator and use more actuator travel.
Adaptable To: See the chart for the parts affected by this change. The illustration shows the typical location of the new parts. This change is effective with 3508...2JF128, 3512...4KC190, 3516...3RC303 Spark-Ignited Engines equipped with EG3P Governors, and is adaptable to first production. To adapt this change to an earlier engine, see the following procedure.
Procedure To Adapt The New Carburetor Control Linkage To An Earlier Spark-Ignited Industrial Engine
1. Rotate the governor shaft clockwise to the full open position.
2. Install new 4P0708 Governor Control Lever (2) at five degrees (plus or minus five degrees) above horizontal.
3. Adjust 8G1825 Rod (1) to dimension (A) of 254 + 1.0 mm (10 + .04 in) center length. See illustration.
4. Install rod, 9M1974 Hard Washer (4), and 4B3388 Bolt (3).
