NOTE: Some earlier engines may have 1/4 inch pipe thread where the remote mounted pressure sensor mounting elbow is to be installed. These engines require a 6V9601 Adapter (straight thread to pipe thread) between the 9X8403 Sensor Mounting Elbow and the cylinder block.

Location of 6V9601 Adapter (1), 9X8403 Elbow (2), and sensor assembly (3) on earlier engines.

Description of Change: The former control group (ECMP oil pressure and water temperature transducer) utilized an internal pressure sensor. Oil was routed to the sensor through a hose. The new control group is used with a remote mounted sensor.

Adaptable To: The former 9W5566 Control Group is replaced by the new 9X8203 Control Group and 7X1602 Pressure Sensor Assembly in the 7C6513 Electronic Control Group.
