An IBM-COMPATIBLE personal computer with an installed current version of IQAN Run software can be connected to the IQAN Monitoring and Control System. Connect the computer to connection (1) with a universal serial bus (USB) cable. The IQAN Design software can be used in order to perform various troubleshooting procedures. The software can also be used to display the outputs of several solenoids and sensors on the machine in the form of a graph.

Use the digital multimeter for making continuity checks or for measuring voltage. The 7X-1710 Multimeter Probe measures the voltage at the connectors without disconnecting the connectors. The probe cables are pushed into the back of the connector along the wire. The 8T-8726 Adapter Cable has a 3-pin breakout. The adapter cable is used for measurements in the sensor circuits.
Note: Using continuity testers such as the 8T-0500 Continuity Tester or voltage testers such as the 5P-7277 Voltage Tester is not recommended.
