Service Magazine SEPD1483, 20 August 2012, "Optional Side Mirror Extensions are now Available on Certain M Series and M Series 2 Motor Graders". Disregard this article. See the article that follows.

Description of Change: Optional side mirror extensions are now available for the machines listed above. The new extensions improve the rear visibility for the operator.

Note: If the machine is equipped with heated mirrors, use the 200-1173 Mirror As, which is equipped with a longer wiring harness. Secure the wiring harness to the extensions with six 3S-2093 Cable Straps on each side.

1. Remove existing brackets (A) and mirrors (B). Reuse the mounting blocks.

2. Attach bracket (4) to the saved mounting blocks using four bolts (10) and four washers (7) .

3. Install arm assembly (3) onto bracket (4) using two bolts (9), two washers (6), and two nuts (8) .

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the right-hand side.

5. Install mirrors (1) onto arm assembly (2) and arm assembly (3). Use cable straps (5) as needed on heated mirrors.
