Monitoring System

Usage:

The Monitoring System is designed to alert the operator to an immediate problem with any of the machine systems that are monitored. The Monitoring System is also designed to alert the operator to an impending problem with any of the machine systems that are monitored.

Engine Coolant (1) - The engine coolant gauge will indicate in the red zone and the action light will flash when the engine coolant temperature is too high. Stop the machine at a convenient location and investigate the cause.


Torque Converter Temperature Indicator (2) - The torque converter temperature indicator will illuminate when the torque converter temperature exceeds121° C (250° F). Action light (15) will also illuminate and the action alarm will sound. Stop the machine at a convenient location and investigate the cause. The torque converter temperature indicator will flash when there is a fault with the torque converter temperature sensor.


Hydraulic Oil Temperature Indicator (3) (If Equipped) - The hydraulic oil temperature indicator will illuminate when the hydraulic oil reaches 110° C (230° F). Action light (15) will also illuminate. Operation of the hydraulic functions must be reduced in order to allow the hydraulic fluid to cool.


Brake Indicator (4) - This indicator illuminates in order show that there is an issue with the braking system


Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) Indicator (If Equipped) (5) - This indicator illuminates in order to show that the automatic engine speed control (AESC) is on.


Remote Throttle Active (6) - This indicator illuminates in order to show that the remote throttle has been activated.

Tachometer (7) - The tachometer will indicate the engine RPM.


Engine Oil Pressure Indicator (8) - When the engine oil pressure is low, the following will happen: the alert indicator will illuminate, action light (15) will flash and an audible alarm will sound. If this alert indicator illuminates, stop the machine immediately. Stop the engine, engage the parking brake, and investigate the cause.


Charging System Indicator (9) - The alert indicator illuminates if there is a malfunction in the electrical charging system. If this alert indicator illuminates, the system voltage is too low for normal machine operation.


Object Handling Stability Indicator (10) - The alert indicator illuminates when the machine reaches the lifting capacity. Action light (15) will also illuminate and an audible alarm will sound.


Fuel Level (11) - The fuel level gauge will indicate in the red zone when the fuel level is 12.5% of the tank capacity.


Low Fuel Indicator (12) - The low fuel indicator will illuminate when the fuel level is at 12.5% of the tank capacity. The indicator will flash when there is a fault with the fuel level sender.


Engine Malfunction Indicator (13) - The engine malfunction indicator will illuminate amber when there is a fault with the engine.


Hydraulic Oil Filter Bypass Indicator (14) (If Equipped) - The hydraulic filter bypass indicator will illuminate when the hydraulic oil temperature is above 42° C (108° F) and hydraulic oil is bypassing the hydraulic filter. Action light (15) will also illuminate.


Action Light (15) - Malfunction in a machine system.

LCD (16) - The LCD will display available menus.


Fuel System Water Separator Indicator (17) - The alert indicator indicates a plugged fuel/water separator. Action light (15) will also illuminate. Stop the engine and investigate the cause of the fault.


Air Filter Indicator (18) - The alert indicator will light when the air filter becomes clogged. If this alert indicator comes on, stop the machine and investigate the cause.


Glow Plug Indicator (19) - The glow plug indicator will illuminate when the glow plugs are active.


Engine Coolant Indicator (20) - The engine coolant indicator will illuminate when the engine coolant temperature is too high. Action light (15) will also illuminate. Stop the machine at a convenient location and investigate the cause.

Message Display

Message Display Indicators


Maintenance Due - This indicator will illuminate on the display any time maintenance is due on the machine.

To reset the maintenance due indicator, scroll to the Time to Maintenance screen in the Performance Menu. Press and hold OK on the Navigation Select Switch for 10 seconds. The Time to Maintenance hours will be reset to 500 hours and the maintenance due indicator will disappear.


Service - This indicator will illuminate when you are in service mode menu.

From the default menu, press down on the navigation scroll switch to display the "PERFORMANCE" pages.

The following options are available through the "PERFORMANCE" pages:

Transmission Oil Temp - The display will show the transmission oil temperature.

"Hydaulic Oil Temp (If Equipped)" - The display will show the hydraulic oil temperature.

Battery Voltage - The display will show the voltage of the battery.

Time to Maintenance - The display will show the hours until the next scheduled maintenance is due.

OK - The display will show "OK". Press "OK" on the navigation select switch, this will direct you to the settings menu.

Display Light

Metric/English - The display will show either "M" for metric unit display or "E" for English unit display. To change the setting press "OK" on the navigation select switch and then use the navigation scroll switch to select either metric or English then press "OK" on the navigation select switch to save the setting.

Display Light - The display will show the display light setting. To change the light setting press "OK" on the navigation select switch and then use the navigation scroll switch to select the brightness of the display then press "OK" on the navigation select switch to save the setting.

Service Menu

To access the diagnostics press and hold "Scroll Up" on the navigation scroll switch and "Back" on the navigation select switch for 10 seconds.

Engine ECM - The display will show the serial number for the engine ECM.

Machine ECM - The display will show the serial number for the machine ECM.

Transmission ECM - The display will show the serial number for the transmission ECM.

OK - The display will show "OK". Press "OK" on the navigation select switch, this will direct you to any error codes. Use the navigation scroll switch the scroll through any error codes that may be present.
