Flash files can be downloaded through the Service Information System (SIS). There are two different ways to retrieve information from SIS. Information may be accessed through SIS on DVD or through SIS Web.

1. Go to Step 2 in order to download the flash file from SIS Web. Go to Step 3 in order to download the flash file from SIS on DVD.

2. Download the application file (".ida" file) for your machine from SIS Web.

   1. Select "Service Software Files" (1) .

   2. Select "Flash Files" (2) .

   3. Type ".ida" into the "Flash Filename" window (3). Select "Search" (4) .Window 3 will list all of the ".ida" files.

   4. Click on the appropriate file.

   5. The "File Download" menu will appear. Save the file onto your PC.

3. Use the following procedure to download the flash files from SIS on DVD.

   1. Insert the "Flash Files" DVD into the DVD drive for your computer.

   2. View the contents of the drive that is on your CD or DVD drive. Select the "Readxref.txt" file in order to view a complete listing of all flash documents. The flash documents can be used to identify the proper flash file for your application.

   3. Save the file to your PC.

4. Send the "public key" from "Tools" "Password Manger" in IQANrun to engineering. Engineering will send a "Safe Password".

5. Connect the USB cable between your PC and the IQAN system connection on your machine.

   1. Connect the 371-3480 USB Cable between your PC and IQAN system connection (5) .

6. Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position in order to activate the IQAN system on your machine.

7. Retrieve the application file IQANRun Software that was downloaded and saved to your PC by selecting "Open" from the "File" menu.

8. Select "Send application" (6) from the "System" menu.
