Removal Procedure

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement. Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.

Note: The following procedure requires two people.

1. Start the engine.

2. Park the machine on a flat, level surface.

3. Turn switch (1) to the right to enable the rear of the machine to be raised up to the service height position. In the service height position, the rear leg locks can be lowered down and locked into position for servicing the machine.

4. Place service supports (2) into position. Lower the machine onto service supports (2) .

5. Engage the parking brake.

6. Remove the nut and work light connector (3) from both sides of the machine.

7. Locate ground level control station (4) at the rear of the machine.

(5) Switch to raise and lower the left front of the machine. (6) Switch to raise and lower the right front of the machine. (7) Switch to raise and lower the rear of the machine.

8. Use switches (5) and (6) to raise the front machine.

9. When working on the rear track assemblies, use switch (7) to raise and lower the rear of the machine.

10. Place Tooling (A) under the machine frame.

11. Use switches (5) and (6) to lower the machine onto Tooling (A) .

12. Press switch (5) down while lifting the track assembly with a suitable lifting device. The track assembly weighs approximately 1000 kg (2204 lb).

13. Raise the track assembly 400 mm (16 inch) off the ground.

14. Install a suitable chain to hold the track assembly in the air. Remove the suitable lifting device.

15. Loosen the fitting (8) .

    Note: Do not exceed three full turns.

16. Remove four bolts (10) and track roller (9) .
