- Remove the bucket, the bucket linkage, and the bucket cylinder.
- Remove the extendable stick and the extendable cylinder.
- Place the stick into a vertical position. Position the boom onto Tooling (A) .

- Release the hydraulic system pressure.
- Remove clip (1) . Remove bolts (3) . Position bracket (2) , and the hose assemblies, to the side. Repeat for the other side.

- Place suitable cribbing (5) under stick cylinder (6) . Remove pin (4) .

- Retract stick cylinder (6) . Install pin (4) and all the retaining rings. Attach a suitable lifting device to stick (7) . The weight of stick (7) is approximately 230 kg (507 lb).
- Remove pin assembly (8) . Remove stick (7) and any shims (9) that may be present.
Note: Note the location and the quantity of shims (9) for assembly purposes.
- Remove pin (4) . Use Tooling (B) in order to remove bearing (10) and bearing (11) (not shown).

Installation Procedure
- Install stick (7) in the reverse order of removal.
- Lower the temperature of bearings (10) and (11) . Use Tooling (C) in order to install bearings (10) and (11) .
- Install shims (9) to each side of stick assembly (7) in order to obtain a total maximum clearance of 1.0 mm (0.04 inch).
