A Discharge Chute for Debris in the Ejector Body Is Used {6203}

Usage:

740 AZZ
Articulated Truck:
740 EJECTOR (S/N: AZZ1-UP; B1R1-UP)

Description of Change: A discharge chute at the front of the ejector body for unwanted material is used on the listed machines.

The discharge chute allows unwanted material to fall out of the area at the front of the ejector blade when the ejector blade is at the fully retracted position. The discharge chute helps to avoid unwanted material from building up at the front of the ejector body.

The design of the discharge chute incorporates a deflector guard that directs the discharged material away from the drive shaft.

Adaptable To: The incorporation of a discharge chute and deflector guard in the design of the ejector body is effective on 740 EJECTOR (S/N: B1R267-UP). The modification is adaptable to earlier machines that are listed.

Cut the discharge chute out of plate (X) at the front of the ejector body. Use a suitable tool to cut the plate. Ensure that the edges of the discharge chute are clean and smooth. Dress the edges of the discharge chute, if necessary. Refer to Illustration 1, Illustration 2 and Table 2.

Use suitable protective material in order to protect the following parts of the ejector body:

  • components below the location of the discharge chute

  • components to the side of the location of the discharge chute

  • hoses to the ejector cylinder

  • the ejector cylinder
