Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to main drive shaft (17). Use two people in order to install main drive shaft (17) into the machine. The weight of main drive shaft (17) is approximately 38 kg (83 lb).

2. Align the keyways and install bolts (19) in order to connect main drive shaft (17) to the output transfer gears. Tighten bolts (19) to a torque of 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft).

3. Align the keyways and install bolts (18) in order to connect main drive shaft (17) to the transmission. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft).

4. Install tube assembly (15). Tighten clamp (16) and clamp (14).

5. Install tube assembly (13). Install hose assembly (12).

6. Install tube (11), tube (10), and tube (9). Tighten clamps (8), clamps (7), and clamp (6).

7. Tighten clamp (5). Install clamp (4). Tighten clamp (3). Install clamp (2). Tighten clamp (1).

8. Remove the steering frame locks. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
