Right pump
Note: Perform the test procedure for the right pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Charge) - Test and Adjust" before performing the procedure for the right pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Pressure Limiter Valve - Test and Adjust".
- Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.
- Move propulsion lever (2) to the NEUTRAL position.

- Rotate speed dial (3) to the MINIMUM position.
- Move travel mode switch (6) to the TRAVEL position.
- Move parking brake switch (4) to the ON position.
- Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
- After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (1) to the OFF position.
- Move key switch (7) to the OFF position.

- Open the left access door in the deck of the operator platform.
- Loosen the retaining nut on the coil of parking brake solenoid (9). Remove the coil of the parking brake solenoid from the valve stem.
Note: Parking brake solenoid (9) is the bottom solenoid on the right side of the front face of auxiliary manifold (8). The 374-PK wire and the 277-BK wire are connected to the solenoid.

- Build a hose assembly with the following tools:
- Tool (A)
- Tool (B)
- Tool (C)
- Tool (D)
- A second Tool (D)
- Tool (A)
- Repeat Step 11 in order to build a second hose assembly.
- Open the pump compartment on the left side of the machine. Connect the hose assembly which was built in Step 11 to "M1" port (10) .

- Connect the hose assembly which was built in Step 12 to "M2" port (11) .

- Move key switch (7) to the ON position. Move engine start switch (1) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
- Move throttle control switch (5) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed will increase to 2310 rpm.
- Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (F). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43° ± 5.6°C (110° ± 10°F).
- Move parking brake switch (4) to the OFF position.
Note: The travel mode switch must be in the TRAVEL position during this test. If the travel mode switch is in the PAVE position, the machine may drive through the parking brake. If the machine moves at any time during this test, immediately move the speed dial back to the MINIMUM position. Stop the machine and repair the parking brakes before this test is continued and/or before the machine is placed in service.
- Move propulsion lever (2) to the full FORWARD position.
- Rotate speed dial (3) to the MAXIMUM position.
- Record the pressure at "M2" port (11) as "forward gauge pressure".
- Move speed dial (3) back to the MINIMUM position.
- Move propulsion lever (2) to the full REVERSE position.
- Rotate speed dial (3) to the MAXIMUM position.
- Record the pressure at "M1" port (10) as "reverse gauge pressure".
- Move speed dial (3) back to the MINIMUM position.
- Move propulsion lever (2) to the NEUTRAL position.
- Move parking brake switch (4) to the ON position.
- Perform the following steps:
- Move throttle control switch (5) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
- After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (1) to the OFF position.
- Move key switch (7) to the OFF position.
- Allow the oil to cool.
- From the forward gauge pressure which was recorded in Step 21, subtract the differential pressure which was recorded in the test procedure for the right pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Charge) - Test and Adjust" Step 17. Record this pressure as "forward pressure". The forward pressure should be 41990 ± 1380 kPa (6090 ± 200 psi).
- If the forward pressure is outside the specified range, go to Step 32. If the forward pressure is inside the specified range, go to Step 34.
- Loosen the locknut on forward multifunction valve (12). In order to increase pressure, rotate the adjustment screw of the multifunction valve clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise.
Note: One revolution of the adjustment screw changes the pressure by approximately 9300 kPa (1350 psi).

- Hold the adjustment screw, and tighten the locknut on forward multifunction valve (12) .
- From the reverse gauge pressure which was recorded in Step 25, subtract the differential pressure which was recorded in the test procedure for the right pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Charge) - Test and Adjust" Step 17. Record this pressure as "reverse pressure". The reverse pressure should be 41990 ± 1380 kPa (6090 ± 200 psi).
- If the reverse pressure is outside the specified range, go to Step 36. If the reverse pressure is inside the specified range, go to Step 38.
- Loosen the locknut on reverse multifunction valve (13). In order to increase pressure, rotate the adjustment screw of the multifunction valve clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise.
Note: One revolution of the adjustment screw changes the pressure by approximately 9300 kPa (1350 psi).

- Hold the adjustment screw, and tighten the locknut on reverse multifunction valve (13) .
- If an adjustment was made, go to Step 15.
- Remove the tooling. Reinstall the coil of parking brake solenoid (9) .
Left Pump
Note: Perform the test procedure for the left pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Charge) - Test and Adjust" before performing the test procedure for the left pump in Testing and Adjusting, "Pressure Limiter Valve - Test and Adjust".
