Description of Change: Improvements have been made to some of the internal components of the output transfer gear. The changes have improved the reliability of the output transfer gear.

The following components have been changed: Spacers in the transfer gear planetary and the shroud in the sump of the output transfer gear.

Adaptable To: The 148-9400 Output Transfer Gear for the listed machines has been improved.

New 261-0315 Spacers replace the former 161-4231 Spacers for the planetary gears in the 161-4250 Transfer Gear Planetary that is part of the 148-9400 Output Transfer Gear .

A new 260-4520 Shroud and 260-4519 Plate replaces the former 161-4225 Shroud in the sump of the 148-9400 Output Transfer Gear .

The new components for the 148-9400 Output Transfer Gear are effective on 735 (S/N: B1N305-UP).

The new 261-0315 Spacers are direct replacements to the former spacers on all earlier machines that are listed.

The new 260-4520 Shroud and 260-4519 Plate is adaptable to earlier machines. Make the following alterations to the 161-4211 Case of Output Transfer Gear on earlier machines in order to install the new shroud.

Disassemble the output transfer gear. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly that is referenced.

Drill two new holes (A) into the 161-4212 Case (Front). Use the holes for the former shroud for locating the two new holes. Refer to Illustration 1 and Table 1.

Assemble the output transfer gear. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly that is referenced. Install the new components that are identified in Illustration 2 and Table 2.
