Description of Change: An improved hoist control valve is available for the listed machines.
The design of the stem in the hoist control valve has been improved. The redesigned stem improves the reliability and performance of the hoist control valve.
The redesigned stem reduces the possibility of wearing of the body for the hoist control valve. Wear of the body for the hoist control valve can cause leakage of oil within the hoist control valve. In some instances, leakage within the hoist control valve can cause oil pressure in the hydraulic system for lowering the body when the hoist control lever is in the FLOAT position. This condition can create a load on the hydraulic system for the hoist when the system is not required. The resultant load may cause the hydraulic oil to overheat.
Adaptable To: The hoist control valves that are listed in Table 1 have been improved. The stems in the hoist control valves have been redesigned.
The improved hoist control valves are effective with 735 (S/N: B1N186-UP), 740 (S/N: B1P231-UP) and 740 EJECTOR (S/N: B1R163-UP). The improved hoist control valves are direct replacements of the former versions of the hoist control valves in all earlier machines that are listed.
