With the key start switch in the ON position, 24 volt power is supplied from the batteries via circuit breaker #1 to the Caterpillar Monitoring System ECM.
Caterpillar Monitoring System ECM (1) sends a signal to front axle oil temperature switch (4), rear axle oil temperature switch (3), front axle oil pressure switch (6), and rear axle oil pressure switch (5). The axle oil temperature switches and the axle oil pressure switches remain in the closed position during normal operation. Axle oil temperature/pressure alert indicator (2) will be off.
When front or rear axle oil temperature is not within the preset value, the axle oil temperature switches will be open. The Caterpillar Monitoring System ECM will turn on axle oil temperature/pressure alert indicator (2). When front or rear axle oil pressure is not within the preset value, the axle oil pressure switches will be open. The Caterpillar Monitoring System ECM will turn on axle oil temperature/pressure alert indicator (2) .
