New Oil Filter Base Supports Help Prevent Incorrect Oil Filter Base Installation{1306}

Usage:

D11N, 776B Tractors;
777B, 777C, 785, 785B, 789, 789B, 793, 793B Trucks;
994 Loaders

Description of Change: New oil filter base supports will help prevent incorrect oil filter base installation. Previously, because of the symmeterical design of the oil filter base, the oil filter bases could be installed on the base supports backwards. This could result in unfiltered oil passing through the engine. The new oil filter base supports include pins or lugs that will prevent the incorrect installation of the oil filter base.

Adaptable To: The chart identifies the machine models, new and former base support assemblies, and effectivity of the new oil filter base support assemblies.

The former support assemblies can be modified to ensure the correct orientation of oil filter base. See the applicable modification procedure.
