Door Insulation Retention Method Is Improved {7308,7300}

Usage:

D20D (9MG),
D250D(6NG),
D300D (5MG) Articulated Trucks

Description of Change: A new method is being used to retain the insulation to the inside of the cab door. The former method used adhesive to hold the insulation in place. The new method uses a bracket and the door cover to hold the 1056488 Insulation in place.

Adaptable To: The new method to retain the cab door insualtion is in effect with D20D (9MG106), D250D (6NG200) and D300D (5MG196) and can be adapted to machines in the field using the following method.

1. Fabricate a bracket using the dimensions given in Illustration 1.

Illustration 1. Dimensions for the fabricated bracket. (A) 43.5 mm (1.71 in). (B) 13.0 mm (.51 in). (C) 280.0 mm (11.02 in). (D) 361.0 mm (14.212 in). (E) 40.5 mm (1.59 in). (F) 30.5 mm (1.20 in) both ends. (G)12.0 mm (.47 in) diameter, three holes. (H) Bend up 90 °. (J) 20.0 mm (.79 in).

2. Remove the 7U9713 Door Cover and original insulation. Modify the 7U9713 Door Cover as shown in Illustration 2.

Dimensions to modify the 7U9713 Door Cover. Dimension (K) 37.0 mm (1.47 in).

3. Weld the fabricated bracket to the inside of the cab door as shown in Illustration 3. Clean and paint the weld area.
