Usage:
D25D (1HK),
D30D (3AJ),
D350D (9RF) Articulated Trucks
Description of Change: The battery isolation switch has been moved to provide better access. In the new position, the battery isolation switch can be reached through the rubber strip between the cab and radiator shroud. Formerly, the battery isolation switch was located behind the battery tray.
Adaptable To: The relocated battery isolation switch is in effect with D25D (1HK375), D30D (3AJ307) and D350D (9RF462) Articulated Trucks. The battery isolation switch on earlier articulated trucks can be relocated using the following method. The parts needed to relocate the battery isolation switch are shown in the chart.
1. Fabricate a mounting bracket for the battery isolation switch from 3.0 mm (.12 in) thick steel using the dimensions given in the chart and Illustrations 1 and 2.

2. Fabricate a jumper wire from 200.0 mm (7.87 in) of 16 gauge wire and a 3T4697 Terminal. Attach the terminal to one end of the wire.
3. Weld the bosses and fabricated bracket in position as shown in Illustrations 3 and 4. The bosses are welded in place with a 3.0 mm (.12 in) fillet weld all around. The fabricated bracket is welded in place with a 3.0 mm (.12 in) plug weld.
