New Product Link software is now available for all Cat machines with PL300 systems. The new software is available for PL321SR systems with the Electronic Control Module (PL300). The new software contains improvements and enhancements that are listed below:

• Introduces support for the Cat Fuel Consumption Monitoring retrofit kit.

• Improves Asset Operation reporting for machines configured using Globalgram.

If needed, adjust the internal Product Link clock to agree with Service Meter Hours (SMH) of the machine as indicated on the hour meter after flashing the new software.

The new software part number is listed in Table 1.

Note: To obtain the full benefits of the improvements and enhancements, both the radio and the gateway software must be flashed. The latest software for the PL121 radio can be found in SIS Web. This radio firmware is updated using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Subsystem Module Programming.

Note: Prior to service trip, launch SIS Web and ensure that the new flash file part number is the latest flash file part number. A newer flash file part number may be available.

Note: Before using Communications Adapter 3 (CA3), make sure that the PC drivers and CA3 firmware have been updated. CA3 news, drivers, and firmware are available at "https://dealer.cat.com".

Note: The new software is flashed onto the Module using "WinFlash". Always use the latest version of Cat ET for the optimal machine software support.
