- Periksa roda-gigi terhadap keausan atau kerusakan. Jika roda-gigi aus atau rusak, gunakan komponen baru untuk penggantian.
- Ukur celah antara roda gigi camshaft (1) dan roda gigi idler (2). Lihat Spesifikasi, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan)" untuk pengukuran celah.
- Ukur celah antara roda gigi idler (2) dan roda gigi crankshaft (4). Lihat Spesifikasi, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan)" untuk pengukuran celah.
- Ukur celah antara roda gigi pompa injeksi bahan bakar (3) dan roda gigi idler (2). Lihat Spesifikasi, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan)" untuk pengukuran celah.
- Ukur kelonggaran ujung di roda gigi idler (2). Lihat Pembongkaran dan Perakitan, "Roda Gigi Idler - Pemasangan" untuk prosedur yang benar. Lihat Spesifikasi, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan)" untuk pengukuran kelonggaran ujung.
Catatan: Jika satu atau beberapa roda gigi perlu dilepaskan untuk diperbaiki, rujuk ke Pembongkaran dan Perakitan, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan) - Pelepasan" untuk melepaskan roda gigi. Lihat Pembongkaran dan Perakitan, "Grup Roda Gigi (Depan) - Pemasangan" untuk memasang roda gigi.
