Engine News SEBD9598, 13 July 2009, "Water Temperature Regulators (Thermostats) Have Been Redesigned". The article listed above has been revised because some of the thermostats have been redesigned again. Refer to the article that follows for the new designed thermostats.

The new regulators (thermostats) have the same part numbers as the previous regulators, but the new regulators have a new change level. The new regulators are interchangeable with the previous regulators. Refer to Table 1 for the affected part numbers.

Note: Before using the new regulators, exhaust the old regulators. In engines with multiple regulators, use regulators of the same design.
