(A) Lubrication Duration (B) Lubrication Cycle (C) Lubrication Interval ("LUBSET" function) |
The Service Program Code (SPC) "LUBSET", allows the user to adjust the time period between machine lubrication cycles when a value different than the default setting in the configuration is necessary. Refer to the referenced service manuals for additional information on the "LUBSET" function.
The SPC LUBSET is and has been referred to as the lubrication cycle time. A more correct name for this function is lubrication interval time. The function of this SPC is to adjust the lubrication interval which is the time from the end of one lubrication cycle to the begining of the next lubrication cycle. The cycle time is actually the total time from the start of one lubrication to the start of the next lubrication which includes the time for one duration and one interval. See Illustration 1 for more explanation.
