排气旁通阀（废气门） (1) 通过分流流向涡轮增压器的部分排气来防止增压压力过高。 排气旁通阀由电子控制模块（ECM）控制。

(3) 减压阀 | |
制动系统的空气压力在减压阀 (3) 的作用下降至 380 千帕 (55 磅/平方英寸)。 减压阀位于驾驶室外侧的右后部。 减压阀可为废气门电磁阀 (2) 提供空气。 如果增压压力超过了预设值，ECM 则会打开废气门电磁阀。 废气门电磁阀打开后，排气旁通阀可在气压作用下打开。 排气旁通阀打开后，涡轮增压器涡轮侧的排气将会分流至消音器。 当涡轮增压器涡轮侧的排气被分流至消音器时，涡轮增压器的转速便会下降。 这样即可降低气缸上的增压压力。
如果实际增压压力比所需增压压力高 20 千帕 (3 磅/平方英寸)，则会记录一个增压压力高事件。 如果实际增压压力比所需增压压力低 30 千帕 (4 磅/平方英寸)，则会记录一个增压压力低事件。 如果 ECM 检测到增压过高或过低的情况，ECM 会减少燃油输送量，以防止发动机损坏。 燃油输送量最多可减少百分之十。
