Air Cleaner - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".

Ensure that the engine can not be started while this maintenance is being performed. To help prevent possible injury, do not use the starting motor to turn the flywheel. Hot engine components can cause burns. Allow additional time for the engine to cool before measuring/adjusting valve lash clearance. |
Note: Put identification marks on all lines and on all hoses for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses, and all tubes. This helps to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Loosen two clamps (1) from hose (2) .

- Remove hose (2) from air cleaner (3) .
- Loosen clamp (4) and remove hose (5) from air cleaner (3) .

- Remove line (6) from air cleaner (3) .
- Remove the bolt and washer (7) .

- Remove air filter indicator (8) .
- Remove four bolts and washers (9) .

- Remove air cleaner (3) from the machine.
Installation procedure
- Install air cleaner (3) to the machine.

- Install washers and four bolts (9) .
- Install air filter indicator (8) .

- Install the washer and bolt (7) .
- Install line (6) to air cleaner (3) .

- Install hose (5) to air cleaner (3) and tighten clamp (4) .
- Install hose (2) to air cleaner (3) and tighten two clamps (1) .
