- For the disassembly and the assembly procedure, refer to Service Manual, SENR7474, "Air Dryer for Vehicle Air Systems", "Air Dryer Disassembly and Assembly" for the correct procedure.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies, on all tube assemblies and on all wire harnesses for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.

- Charge the air pressure in the air tank. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7173, "Starting with an external air supply" for the correct procedure.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble.
