  1. The track pin should be in a position behind the front idler for removal. Put the track pin in position.

  1. Put wood blocks (3) in position under the front of the track.

  1. Put wood blocks (2) in position under the track in order to keep the track away from the roller frame when the pressure is released in the track adjuster.

  1. Release the pressure in the track adjuster. See the topic "Tracks - Separate" in this module.

  1. Put Tool (A) in position, as shown. Use Tool (A) to keep the track in position when the track pins are removed.

  1. Remove the bolts from the four track shoes. Use two persons for lifting and removing four track shoes (1) that are over the track pins to be removed.

  1. Fasten a hoist to Tooling (B). Put Tooling (B) in position against the track pin.

  1. Push the pin out of the track with Tooling (B). Install Tool (C) for holding the track together until the other track pin is removed.

  1. Put Tooling (B) in position against track pin (4). Push track pin (4) out of the track and install Tool (C). Remove Tooling (B) from the track.

  1. Put Tooling (D) in position between track links (5) and (6). Use Tooling (D) for spreading apart the track links far enough to move track link (7) away from track links (5) and (6) .

  1. Remove Tooling (C) from track links (5), (6), and (7) .


    NOTICE

    Do not damage the seal faces as you move the track links.


  1. Fasten a hoist to track link (7). Move the track link away from track links (5) and (6). Put a wood block under track link (7) in order to keep the track link away from track links (5) and (6).

  1. Put Tooling (D) in position between track links (8) and (9). Use Tooling (D) to spread apart the track links enough to remove track link assembly (10) .

  1. Fasten a hoist to track link assembly (10) .

  1. Remove Tool (C) from track links (8) and (9), and track link assembly (10). Remove track link assembly (10). The weight of the track link assembly is 31 Kg (68 lb).

  1. Remove seal assemblies (11) from track links (5) and (6) .

  1. Put the track link assembly in position in Tooling (E), as shown. See Illustration 6.

  1. Remove track link (6) from the bushing with Tooling (E) .

  1. Remove the other track link from the bushing with Tooling (E) .
