Removal Procedure

Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine. To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on.

1. Use Tool (A) and a wood block to support front guard assembly (2), as shown.

   Note: Carefully lower the front guard assembly. Clamps may be used after the front guard assembly has been lowered beyond the guard assembly.

2. Remove bolts (1) and the washers. Remove the guard assembly. The weight of the guard assembly is 45 kg (100 lb).

3. Use Tool (A) to support guard assembly (6), as shown.

4. Remove nuts (7) and the washers on each side of the guard assembly.

5. Remove cotter pin (4), two washers (3) and hinge pin (5) from each of the hinge mounts. Remove guard assembly (6). The weight of the guard assembly is 84 kg (185 lb).

6. Use Tool (A) to support guard assembly (12) .

7. Remove nuts (11) and the washers on each side of the guard assembly.

8. Remove cotter pin (8), two washers (9) and hinge pin (10) from each of the hinge mounts. The weight of the guard assembly is 75 kg (165 lb).

9. Use Tool (A) to support guard assembly (16) .

10. Remove nuts (17) and the washers on each side of the guard assembly.

11. Remove cotter pin (13), two washers (15) and hinge pin (14) from the hinge mounts. The weight of the guard assembly is 43 kg (95 lb).

1. Support guard assembly (16) with Tool (A). Install the guard assembly. The weight of the guard assembly is 43 kg (95 lb).

2. Install hinge pin (14) with washers (15) and cotter pin (13) .

3. Install the washers and nuts (17) on both sides of the guard assembly.

4. Support guard assembly (12) with Tool (A). Install the guard assembly. The weight of the guard assembly is 75 kg (165 lb).

5. Install hinge pin (10) with washers (9) and cotter pin (8) .

6. Install the washers and nuts (11) on both sides of the guard assembly.

7. Support guard assembly (6) with Tool (A). Install the guard assembly. The weight of the guard assembly is 84 kg (185 lb).

8. Install hinge pin (5) with washers (3) and cotter pin (4) .

9. Install the washers and nuts (7) on both sides of the guard assembly.

10. Support guard assembly (2) with Tool (A), clamps and a wood block. Raise the guard assembly to a position in order to remove the clamps. Install the guard assembly. The weight of the guard assembly is 45 kg (100 lb).

11. Install bolts (1) and the washers.
