Winch Drive Motor - Disassemble

Start By:

  1. Remove the winch drive motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Winch Drive Motor - Remove".

  1. Remove O-ring seal (1) from the mounting flange for the winch drive motor.

  1. Put the drive motor in a vertical position on wood blocks.

    Note: Put identification marks on the pump parts for assembly purposes.

  1. Remove eight nuts (2) and the washers that hold cover (3) to the gear plate. Remove cover (3) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (4) from cover (3) .

  1. Remove pressure plate (5), the O-ring seals and the backup rings from gear plate (6) .

  1. Lift drive gear (7) and driven gear (8) straight out of gear plate (6) .

  1. Remove gear plate (6) from flange (9) .

  1. Remove pressure plate (10), the O-ring seals and the backup rings from flange (9) .

  1. Remove O-ring seal (11) from flange (9) .

  1. Remove four backup rings (13) and four O-ring seals (12) from each of the two pressure plates.

  1. Remove two seals (14) and the spacer between the two seals from flange (9), if necessary.

  1. Remove relief valve (15) from flange (9) .
