This Special Instruction provides the necessary guidelines for updating the software for CABSDos.
Do not perform any procedure that is outlined in this publication until you understand the information that is contained in the document.

Note: Both of the 215-4152 CABSDos Basic Software and the 215-4153 CABSDos Machine Software are available on SIS Web as 208-2382 Electronic Software . Search for the file part numbers by clicking on the web link that is in illustration 2. The 208-2382 Electronic Software will be available as a ".zip" file. You must download the file to your computer first. You must then unzip the files and transfer the files onto the 205-4662 Program Card prior to the update process.

Note: Before you start the upgrade process, you must copy the 215-4152 CABSDos Basic Software and the 215-4153 CABSDos Machine Software to the 205-4662 Program Card .
Note: Only use the CABSDos presentation and programming unit to format the 205-4662 Program Card . If CABSDos is not used in order to perform a format, the card will not be recognized by CABSDos.
Preparation of the Machine
- Park on a level surface.
- Lower the harvester head to the ground.
- Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
- Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
- Activate the CABSDos controller by turning the boom switch to the ON position.
Procedure to Update the CABSDos Operating System
Note: Start at ""Procedure to Update the CABSDos Operating System" " if you wish to only perform an update to the CABSDos operating system. Start at Step ""Installation of the CABSDos Software" " if you must completely reinstall the CABSDos operating system software.
The following steps will save the "Machine Settings" folder to the 205-4662 Program Card .
- Press the "Space" button on the presentation and programming unit in order for the "Administration" Menu to appear.

- Insert the 205-4662 Program Card into slot F that is located on the right side of the presentation and programming unit.
Note: You must insert the 205-4662 Program Card into slot F only. Copying can only be performed from this slot.

- Select "Backup" by pressing button "1". The following screen will appear.

- When the files have completed the process, the screen will disappear. The "Safe Copy" menu will reappear. You may now remove the 205-4662 Program Card .
- You must now exit the CABSDos operating system. From the "Safe Copy" menu, press the "Esc" button two times in order for the "System" menu to appear.
- Press button "5" in order exit CABSDos.

- Shut down the CABSDos operating system by turning the battery disconnect switch that is on the machine to the OFF position.

Installation of the CABSDos Software
Format the Operating System
Note: Start at ""Installation of the CABSDos Software" " if you must completely reinstall the CABSDos operating system software. If you choose to do a complete installation to the CABSDos operating system, you can not restore your system settings after you reboot the CABSDos computer.
- If you are performing a full installation of the CABSDos software, perform Step 2 through Step 9 in order to format the hard drive prior to the new software installation.
Note: Only perform the following steps if you intend to completely reinstall the CABSDos software. The following steps will format the hard drive, and all of the data that is stored on the hard drive will be lost. Do not perform Step 2 through Step 9 if you only intend to update the existing CABSDos software.
- Insert the 205-4662 Program Card into slot F that is located on the right side of the presentation and programming unit.

- Start the CABSDos operating system by turning the battery disconnect switch that is on the machine to the ON position.

- Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
- Turn the CABSDos controller on by turning the boom switch to the ON position. The following screen will appear.
- A language selection screen will appear. Select the appropriate installation language by pressing the number that is next to the language.
Note: The language that is selected is only the language of the installation process. The installation language is not the language of the operating system. All of the operating system languages will be installed automatically.

- After you have selected the proper installation language, press the "Enter" button. The following screen will appear.
- This screen will ask you if you wish to format the "C" drive. Press "Enter" in order to proceed with the format. The following confirmation screen will appear.

- This screen will ask you to confirm your selection to format the "C" drive. Press button "1" in order to continue. A progress screen will appear.
Note: If you only intend to perform an update to the existing CABSDos software, you must press the "ESC" button in order to avoid formatting the "C" drive.

- This screen will appear momentarily while the CABSDos operating system is formatted. When the CABSDos operating system has finished the format process, the following screen will appear. This screen will display the progress for replacing the existing operating system with a new operating system.
Note: The format "C" drive progress screen will immediately be followed by the operating system update screen.

- At this screen, the new operating system will be installed. After the new operating system is installed, the following screen will appear.

- This screen will display the progress of the "CABSDos Machine" installation. When the installation has completed the following screen will appear.
Note: The "CABSDos Machine" progress screen will immediately be followed by the "Head Type" update screen.

- Press "Enter" in order to continue onto selecting the proper harvester head.

Note: "AGISE4" will cause the + and - keys to change the length only on the matrix that you currently do your bucking on. "AGISE7" will cause the + and - keys to change the length on all of the matrices that are allowed to compare with the one that you work with.

- The message screen will appear and you must remove the 205-4662 Program Card .

- The CABSDos computer will now perform an automatic reboot.
- A screen will appear at the initial start-up of the operating system. Compare the "esemain.ini" file and the "esemain.def" file and make sure that the new software version is shown on the screen.

- This screen is displayed after the CABSDos restarts. At this screen, the CABSDos will load the ".ini" files.
Initial Login
- The password login screen will appear. Enter the password for the operating language. Enter one of the following passwords:
- Enter 1111 for Swedish users.
- Enter 2222 for English users.
- Enter 3333 for German users.
- Enter 4444 for Russian users.
- Enter 5555 for French users.
- Enter 1111 for Swedish users.
