Engine Starting

To prevent personal injury, be sure all personnel are clear of the machine. Sound the horn for several seconds before starting the engine. |

Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. Turbocharger damage can result, if the engine rpm is not kept low until the engine oil pressure indicator goes out, verifying the engine oil pressure is sufficient. Key must be in run position with the engine idling to maintain electrical and hydraulic functions and prevent serious machine damage. If the engine does not start, return the key to OFF before returning it to START. |
- Move vibratory amplitude control (2) to the OFF position.

- Move propel control (1) to the STOP position.
- Push parking brake knob (3) downward.
- Pull out throttle control (4). Do not pull the throttle control all the way. Set the throttle control at one-third of the travel. Lock in position.

- In order to crank the engine, turn key (5) to the START position. When the engine starts, release the key.
