Water Spray System - Drain

Usage:

PM-465 5ZS
When freezing temperatures are expected, drain the water spray system. Drain the pump and the high pressure water pump, if equipped. Drain the system in order to prevent damage to components.

  1. Drain the water tank.

  1. Remove the primary strainer.

  1. Open three valves (1) .

  1. Open valve (2) .

  1. Open the valve behind the high pressure water pump (if equipped).

  1. Connect the hose for high pressure spray to the quick disconnect fitting. Depress the pistol grip trigger on the spray gun.

    Note: Turn on the pump for high pressure spray until the pump has cleared all of the water from the pump. Disconnect the hose for the high pressure spray. Drain the hose.

    Note: The location of the water pump is on top of the rotor chamber.

  1. Open the drain on the water pump.

  1. Do not start the engine.

  1. Move the switch for the spray bar to the ON position in order to operate the solenoid valve for one minute. Return the switch to the OFF position.

  1. Remove each spray nozzle from the holder. Hold the nozzle at the lowest possible level allowed by the hose. Drain any water from the hose.

    Strainer for the standard water system

  1. Remove strainers (3) and (4) .

  1. Remove screen (5) from the housing for the strainer (6) .

  1. Pour the water from the housing for the strainers. Reinstall the housing for the strainers.

  1. Store the strainers in a warm place.
