(1) As required, use 136-7439 Spacers to obtain the appropriate distance between the lever and the linkage rod.
(2) Before assembly, apply 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the socket setscrew. Assemble the collar with 0.5 - 1 mm (0.0197 - 0.0394 inch) of side play.
(3) Torque for the locknut ... 30.0 ± 7.0 N·m (22.00 ± 5.00 lb ft)
(4) Before installation of the pedal shaft, apply 2P-9065 Lubricant to both bearings.

(6) Torque for the locknut ... 30.0 ± 7.0 N·m (22.00 ± 5.00 lb ft)

(8) Torque for the nut ... 20.0 ± 5.0 N·m (15.00 ± 4.00 lb ft)
(9) Torque for the locknut ... 30.0 ± 7.0 N·m (22.00 ± 5.00 lb ft)
(10) Torque for the locknut ... 30.0 ± 7.0 N·m (22.00 ± 5.00 lb ft)
(11) Torque for the nut ... 20.0 ± 5.0 N·m (15.00 ± 4.00 lb ft)
