Disassembly and Assembly of the Water Pump on the 3524B Engine{1361}

Usage:

3524B 1AW
Off-Highway Truck/Tractor:
797 (S/N: 1AW1-UP; 2CS1-UP; 3TN1-UP)

Introduction

Some modifications have been made to the water pumps that are being installed on 3524B engines. A non-tapered shaft has replaced the tapered shaft. This special instruction provides information on the disassembly and assembly procedure for the water pump on 3524B engines.

NOTICE

Radial movement of the pump drive shaft can allow the shaft to contact the ceramic seals in the water pump. This can damage the ceramic seals. Damage to the seals will cause leaks and failure of the pump. Do not cause radial movement of the pump drive shaft.
