为了实现右转，方向盘的转动使旋转套筒 (9) 移动。 从而启动旋转套筒的底部。 来自计量泵的先导信号油使充油压力升至22100 kPa (3205 psi) 的最大压力。 优先阀顶部的油压和弹簧力使阀向下移动。 从而使油从泵流向计量泵 (6) 。 优先油流流过旋转套筒和摆线泵 (8) 。 随后，油流流向左侧油缸的缸盖端和右侧油缸的连杆端。 转向油缸使机器以机器前端为轴转动，从而使压土机右转。
如果先导油达到 22100 kPa (3205 psi)，安全阀 (3) 将打开，因此过量先导压力将卸入泵进口。 此时，优先阀 (11) 底部油压的作用力克服优先阀顶部施加的作用力。 这使优先阀 (11) 向上移动，从而降低到转向系统的油流量。

不转向运行
当压土机不转向时，定心弹簧使旋转套筒 (8) 返回中位。 齿轮泵 (2) 将油送往旋转套筒，并且油不能流向转向油缸 (7) 。 来自计量泵 (6) 的先导信号油基本处于充油压力下。 优先阀 (11) 底部油压的作用力克服优先阀顶部施加的作用力。 这使得优先阀向上移动，并且流向旋转套筒的多数油被阻断。 此时，油通过端口流向充油回路和其他机具回路。
