Calibration Procedures
Since there is no position sensor for these functions, the functions must be calibrated manually.
- Connect the 4C-8195 Control Service Tool to the service connector. The service connector is located behind the fuse access door in the right rear corner of the cab.
- Operate the machine until the hydraulic oil reaches operating temperature.
- Change the monitoring system display to the calibration mode. This will be mode 7. Press the "SCROLL" switch until "CAL2" appears. Operate the engine at high idle. The display should be alternating between "CAL2" and "READY".
- Slowly move the implement lever for the tiltback until the engine starts to lug. This is the point just before initial motion is detected. At this point, press the "CLEAR" switch. After the "CLEAR" switch is pressed, recenter the lever. This will record the current that initiates the hydraulic oil flow.
- Repeat Step 4 for each function that is available.
- When all of the functions are calibrated, the display will alternate between "CAL2" and "DONE".
Note: Each function can be calibrated individually. However, the "DONE" message will not be displayed unless all functions are calibrated.
The manual calibration procedure can be restarted at any time. This can be done by cycling the implement lockout switch ON and OFF. Cycling the lockout switch does not cancel the calibration that was just completed. A new manual calibration procedure will be started.
The tilt or auxiliary functions can be calibrated individually. However, the "DONE" message will only be displayed if all available functions have been calibrated consecutively.
To exit the calibration mode at any time, hold the mode switch until the display changes back to the hour meter.
