Note: Repairs or adjustments to the turbocharger should be done by properly trained personnel.

• Inspect the air filter element for excessive dirt.

• Make sure that a restriction does not exist between the air filter element and the turbocharger.

• Make sure that a restriction does not exist between the turbocharger and the air inlet manifold.

• Make sure that all bolts and clamps are tight.

• Inspect the turbine housing (2) and the compressor housing (3) for damage.

• Make sure that a restriction does not exist in the oil supply line (1) for the bearings .

• Make sure that a restriction does not exist in the oil drain line (4) .

• Inspect inside the compressor housing and the turbine housing for excessive dirt

• Check the bearings of the turbocharger for wear.

• Inspect the turbine fan for wear or for damage.

• Check the compressor impeller for wear or for damage.
