The Guideline For Reusable Parts and Salvage Operations, SEBF8419, "Axle Housing and Final Drive Hub Salvage Procedure for 24H Motor Graders" is available.
The rear axle housing can become damaged. If the rear axle housing is damaged, the lip seal could leak. The guideline provides procedures and suggestions for three possible repair options. In addition, the guideline provides the salvage procedure for the axle housing. The salvage procedure for the axle housing is necessary to replace the final drive hub.
