Upper Roller - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Prepare the machine for disassembly. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Preparation for Disassembly".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Note: The HH65 Harvester Head is shown in this procedure. Other harvester heads are similar.

  1. Remove the bolt and nut (3) that retains upper roller pin (1) .

  1. Support upper roller (2). Remove upper roller pin (3) from the harvester head.

  1. Remove upper roller (2) from the harvester head. The weight of the upper roller is 0.5 kg (1 lb).

Note: Clean the parts. Check the condition of all components. If parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacements.

Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Place upper roller (2) in position on the harvester head.

  1. Install pin (1) .

  1. Install the bolt and nut (3) that retains pin (1) .
