Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Note: The HH65 Harvester Head is shown in this procedure. Other harvester heads are similar.

1. Install grease fitting (8) in holding arm (3) .

2. Press upper bushing (7) and lower bushing (9) into holding arm (3) .

3. Place bearing (10) on the harvester head.

4. Place holding arm (3) on the harvester head.

5. Partially insert pivot pin (4). Install bearing (6) on holding arm (3). Fully insert pivot pin (4) .

6. Install nut (5). Tighten the set screw on nut (5) .

7. Position holding arm (3) so the cylinder pivot point is over the hole in the harvester head. Move holding arm cylinder (1) into position on holding arm (3). Install pivot pin (2) in the rod end. Install the washer and the nut on pivot pin (2). Tighten the nut.

8. Lubricate the holding arm and the holding arm cylinder. Use 1P-0808 Multipurpose Grease .
