Installation Procedure

- The approximate weight of the boom is 680 kg (1500 lb). Attach lifting straps and a suitable lifting device to grapple main boom (3). Put the boom in position for installation.

- Install the shims, boom pin (16), retainer (15), and the retainer bolt.

- Install boom cylinder pin (14), retainer (13), and the retainer bolt.

- Connect hose assemblies (12) to valve body (11) .

- Install four bolts (10) that hold valve body (11) to the saddle assembly.

- Connect hose assemblies (8) and (9) to the control valve.
- Install the fittings on the control valve. Connect hose assemblies (4), (5), (6), and (7) .

- Use Tool (A) to put bottom guard (2) in position and install bolts (1) .

- Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank.
Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7001, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
